Steve Lacy, John Surman, Anthony Braxton and Hamiet Bluiett. My meetings with saxophonists Lol Coxhill and later Michel Doneda were decisive for my aesthetic choices, guiding me in a world where abstract melodies and sound materials coexist and interpenetrate.
